Earlier this month we shared with you the opportunity to vote for us so that we could win $10k through the Nav Small Business Grant. We should know shortly whether or not we’ve made it to the next round!
We are excited to announce that we will be hosting our first community event at hosful COLLECTIVE on May 11th. We’d love for you to join us on this Wine Down Wednesday to meet others in the film community. Whether you’re a filmmaker or someone who enjoys watching films, we’d love to see you.
This is a free event including wine, snacks, shopping, and connecting.
Our goal with this event is to connect folks to each other and raise some money to help support future events. When you register, please consider a donation to help BOFG continue to grow.

It’s that time of the year – Columbus Black International Film Festival tickets are available now! This year CBIFF is back at the Wexner Center for the Arts with a bomb lineup.
Every great movie starts with a pitch. Pitching your idea to execs and investors is 1/3 of the business. CBIFF is looking for filmmakers of all genres to pitch their short film ideas (in the pre-production phase) to their competition.

This one is for the ladies! NALIP is looking for women for The Latino Lens Narrative Short Film Incubator for Women of Color program. They will produce five short narrative scripts from U.S.-based WOC writer/directors with a budget of $25,000 per film.
