Mission + Vision #
Our Mission: To provide film resources and a community for Black filmmakers in Ohio to connect, collaborate, and inspire one another to create new, high-quality films that uplift and inspire our communities.
Our Vision: To increase films created by and for Black folks, uplifting the spectrum of the Black experience in film.
Summary #
All committee members are expected to advance BOFG’s mission and vision through proper organization and planning. Board members are expected to fulfill their responsibilities, are familiar with BOFG’S business plan, and attend each meeting.
Committee meetings will be held monthly with reports delivered quarterly.
General Responsibilities #
- Serve a minimum of one (1) one-year term on the Committee of your choosing. Eligible to become a Board director if elected.
- Attend all monthly committee meetings (1 hour).
- Make a serious commitment to participate actively in committee work.
- Stay informed about committee matters, is prepared for meetings, and reviews and comments on minutes and reports.
- Attend a minimum of one (1) BOFG hosted event per year.
